Scholarships and Terms and Conditions (is this wording ok?)

One of the ways to enhance the future is the assist young people in obtaining an education beyond high school. To further this effort, the Cary Central Rotary Club has established three scholarship programs: the Robert F. McClain, the Boyce Brown and the Boy and Girls Homes of NC. Listed below are the scholarships and our scholarship's terms and conditions.

Scholarships

Boyce Brown

  • High School Seniors enrolling in a 2 year Technical College of their choice.
  • $1,000.00 per year for 2 consecutive years.
  • Must attend a 2 year Technical College during the duration of the scholarship..

Robert F. McClain

  • H igh School Seniors enrolling in a 4 year College or University of their choice.
  • $1,000.00 per year for 4 consecutive years.
  • Must attend a 4 year College or University during the duration of the scholarship.

The Boys and Girls Homes of NC Scholarship

  • What is the criteria for this Scholarship?

Terms and Conditions

In order to receive and maintain a Cary Central Rotary Scholarship, the applicant must abide by the following terms and conditions:

  • Scholarship will be based on academic achievement, civic involvement, self initiative and financial need.
  • Application submission may require a personal interview with the Cary Central Rotary Club's Scholarship Committee.
  • Application must be submitted to applicant's High School Guidance Counselor no later than April 17th (of what year? do we need to further clarify?).
  • Scholarship recipient must provide a yearly status update to the Cary Central Rotary Club in order for the annual scholarship to be renewed. (What does yearly update mean? -- a letter, in person? I added word yearly -- and other words -- , but we might need to state a timeline, by date nn/nn/nnnn, or something like that.)
  • (add this? Applicants Name and school will be posted on our website (and other documenation???) as a recipient of a Cary Central Rotary Scholarship.
